Kevin Pearce rocks the Breck Grand Prix

Saturday, December 17 was a solid day for Scott team rider Kevin Pearce. Competing in the US Snowboard Grand Prix, Pearce shined in both the Halfpipe and Quarterpipe events.

For Saturday’s Halfpipe comp Kevin’s first run went like this: Frontside air, Mctwist, Frontside 7, Cab 7, then he fell on a Frontside 1080. On Kevin’s second run he let it all hang out and threw down a Frontside air to McTwist, stomped his frontside 1080 and cab 7, and finished up with a frontside 9. The crowd went berserk. That run placed Pearce in a respectable 5th place.

Later that night in downtown Breckenridge, there was a massive 25 foot quarterpipe set up, with snowmobile tow-ins. Kevin killed it with huge Japan airs, tindy’s, melons straight airs, and some chicken wing mctwists. Kevin won the comp and took home 5K. Good work Kevin!!
