Choosing a full suspension bike?
Full suspension bikes comfortably absorb more of the shocks and bumps of rough and tricky terrain while letting riders push the limits of speed, especially on downhill tracks and trails. They give better control and traction due to their enhanced suspension. A full suspension bike can be used for any type of mountain biking. Lighter weight full suspension bikes are ideal for cross-country trails, especially in the downhill sections. It is also in the downhill sections of trail riding and enduro that a full suspension supports performance and control at high speeds. At SCOTT Sports, as well as a wide range of bikes that meet the needs of the above disciplines, we also supply a selection of geometry specific bikes designed for downhill mountain biking that suit both novice and competitive riders.
Technical specifications of full suspension bikes
Our full suspension bikes are available with both aluminium and carbon frames and with a choice of 27.5-inch and 29-inch wheels. The bigger 29-inch wheels absorb the bumps, rocks and roots of even the trickiest of terrains while the smaller 27.5-inch wheels give more manoeuvrability and acceleration. For serious and competitive riders, front suspension fork variants such as RockShox and Fox provide the right amount of control for trail, enduro and downhill mountain biking while the same brands also deliver rear shock forks that enhance performance in all categories of the sport.
