Succesfull start to the Freeride World Tour

21 February 2017

Due to bad conditions in Chamonix, France, Vallnord Arcális in Andorra hosted the first two competitions of the Freeride World Tour 2017. Vallnord treated us with the best conditions so far in the FWT history and it had a great impact to our SCOTT´s riders´ performance.

For the first competition the girls went all in and SCOTT rider Lorraine Huber (AUT) was rewarded with first place for the ski women for skiing a clean, fast, and feature-packed run involving multiple airs and solid technique. As conditions softened slightly on the face, Jackie Paaso (USA) stomped a powerful and consistent run down the venue, putting her in third. There was no shortage of action in the ski men category as SCOTT rider Loïc Collomb-Patton (FRA) with the judge’s favorite line of the day started with a 360 at the top of the venue and terminated with a full-throttle double-set air into a stomped backflip.

For the second competition SCOTT rider Arianna Tricomi (ITA) went for gold and landed her first FWT win after skiing a strong and confident run with a lot of playful tricks on the way down. Fellow SCOTT rider Jackie Paaso (USA) skied once again a very strong big mountain line with high technical difficulties and big drops.

What a great start to the season, now we are looking forward to watch the SCOTT team in Fieberbrunn, Austria 6th-11th of March.
