Nothing but success in Les Gets for SCOTT SRAM and the SCOTT DH Factory
Both Kate Courtney and Nino Schurter take the top step of the podium in Les Gets. Never before in the history of UCI MTB World Cup racing have two World Champions and two World Cup leaders riding for the same team won elite races on the same day. The SCOTT DH Factory won the team ranking aboard the all new carbon Gambler.
Les Gets, France - While Olympic Champion Nino Schurter had already shown in Andorra the week prior that he is in top shape, his team mate, World Champion Kate Courtney, was back to her winning ways in both the XCC shortrack and the XCO race this past Sunday in Les Gets, France. Nino Schurter celebrated his 32nd World Cup win of his career by dominating his competitors from start to finish. He is now one World Cup win away from Julien Absalon's all-time record of 33 wins.
Both extended their lead in the overall standings showing their ambitions to go for the World Cup Champion titles.
SCOTT DH FACTORY ON A ROLLIt was to be another weekend full of success for the SCOTT DH Factory. Having launched the all new Gambler Tuned, the team finished the weekend as the fastest team overall! As per usual, the racing was super tight. Marine Cabirou finished in second place, nearly grabbing her first career Elite World Cup Victory. That makes it back to back 2nd place finishes for the young French woman! In the men’s race, Brendan Fairclough would spend much of the afternoon in the hot seat after putting in a blistering time early in the day. He would finish in 6th, with Dean Lucas rounding out the top ten and Flo Payet finishing in 32nd. These results combined to make the SCOTT DH Factory the fastest team on the weekend – the perfect way to launch the new Gambler Tuned.
