YOLO: You only live once
The town of Aosta is located in the central valley. Surrounded by mountains, it’s one of the biggest cities in the Alps. The valley offers an incredible network of trails built over the centuries to connect villages – a biker’s paradise for exploring all the small side valleys in region.
Aside from the great riding, there’s delicious local food and wine to be sampled and exemplary coffee around every corner, ensuring riders from around the world experience la dolce vita in Valle d’Aosta.
During these three days you can expect world-class alpine rides and incredible forested trails in the lower valleys. Prepare to be amazed at the seemingly never-ending descents that will take us from the peaks to the town.

Independent arrival and check-in at the hotel
From Aosta we’ll take advantage of the shuttle before pedaling upwards to arrive at the top, high above the resort, where we’ll enjoy a 360° view of the valley before descending. Starting on the ridge, then flowing through the forest, and coasting along a mellow trail beside an old river all the way back to town.
- Altitude Gain: 1100 m
- Descent: 2000 m

Today we’ll explore the basin of Pila – a resort famous for its bike park, but not everyone knows that Pila also offers incredible natural trails. We will climb up to 2800 m where the view is lost amidst the most famous 4000 m peaks in Europe – from Mont Blanc, to Monterosa to the Matterhorn. From here we start an amazing descent from a ridge, passing through the forests and finishing on an old path built by the last king of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele.
- Altitude Gain: 1100 m
- Descent: 2500 m

We’ll start in the shuttle again, which takes us up 1000 m to the end of the road. From there we’ll pedal up above the forest to ride the Becca France ridge – a historically important mountain with a never-ending flow trail, back through the forest and down into the valley.
- Altitude Gain: 900 m
- Descent: 1600 m

Travel
By Plane
Nearest airports are Milano Malpensa, Torino Caselle (Italy) or Geneva (Switzerland)
By car
Aosta is easily accessible by road from most of Europe. We are located at one of the most important historical routes through the Alps – 117 km from Turin, 164 km from Milan and 226 km from Genoa. You can also approach the valley from the French and Swiss sides through the Mont Blanc and Grand Saint Bernard Tunnels, taking the main SS 26 and 27 roads, respectively. During the summer (between June and October), you also have the scenic option over the Piccolo and Grand Saint Bernard passes.
Accommodation

4* Hotel Milleluci
Housed in an old family cottage built out of stone and wood, the Hotel Milleluci was founded in 1961 with the transformation of the family farm. Its name derives from the wonderful night sky that can be admired thanks to its panoramic location on the hill of Aosta. A few minutes by car from the historic center, it offers a splendid view of the city of Aosta and Mount Emilius. Our comfortable rooms are traditionally furnished, with a balcony to enjoy the panoramic views.
After a day dedicated to sports and cultural visits, our guests can enjoy a bit of relaxation in the wellness area ... or do some further training in the fitness area.
In summer, guests can soak up the sun at the edge of the swimming pool, shaped like an alpine lake, contemplating the splendid view of the mountains surrounding the Valle d'Aosta.
