Mădălina Florea

Hometown: Sighişoara

Date of Birth: 03 February 1993

Having practiced rhythmic gymnastics as a child, Mădălina made her athletics debut at the age of 12, inspired by the exploits of Gabriela Szabó. Demonstrating good cross-country running skills, she was taken in by coach Ioan Avram and quickly scored her first successes on the track and in cross-country.

After many years in athletics on track from 2019 Mădălina begins her transition to trail running.

In 2023, she took part in the Golden Trail World Series and revealed herself on the international trail scene. She demonstrated her climbing skills by running at the front of the pack in the first part of Sierre-Zinal, eventually finishing seventh. She also made a name for herself on the Mammoth 26K, where she came third despite a number of course errors. She was the surprise in the Spotorno final, winning the prologue ahead of favorites Sophia Laukli and Judith Wyder. Encouraged by this good result, she ran a solid race in the final, beating by fifteen seconds the time of Judith Wyder. Finishing the series with a third place overall.

As she steps into this new season, Mădălina Florea is ready to leave her mark on the trails, backed by a brand and a team that matches her relentless drive.
