Standout Moments of 2024 for the SCOTT Community

10 prosince 2024

2024, where did you go? It’s been an unforgettable year for SCOTT Running—filled with incredible personal achievements and countless moments of passion and resilience from our community. Whether you were overcoming injuries, chasing new goals, or just getting started on your running journey - you showed up, and we were honored to be part of your adventure every step of the way.

As we gear up for an exciting 2025, let’s take a moment to reflect on the milestones that made 2024 truly extraordinary for SCOTT Running...

1. THE THIN LINE – OUR MOST WATCHED FILM YET

This year, we followed SCOTT Running athletes on their extraordinary journey to the world’s most prestigious ultra trail race. The Thin Line captured the raw essence of ultra running—the months of grueling preparation, the mental and physical challenges, and the relentless pursuit of the finish line over 173 kilometers and 10,000 meters of elevation gain.

Ultra running demands everything, pushing athletes to their limits. The film explores the delicate balance—the thin line—between success and collapse on race day, resonating deeply with our community and becoming our most-watched film to date.

2. SCOTT ATHLETES SHINE AT UTMB 2024

SCOTT Running athletes delivered remarkable performances at this year’s UTMB, showcasing their grit and determination. Iris Pessey set the tone by dominating the MCC race, conquering the 40-kilometer course from Martigny to Chamonix and winning by an incredible 18 minutes. Gautier Airiau followed up with an impressive 3rd place finish in the TDS, climbing through the field over 148 kilometers and 9,300 meters of elevation. Finally, Cody Lind capped off an unforgettable week with a stellar 10th-place finish in the iconic UTMB race, battling the world’s best over 173 kilometers and 10,000 meters of elevation.

An extraordinary week for SCOTT athletes on the world’s trail running biggest stage.

3. BRAVEHEART RUNNERS CHANGE LIVES

This year, the Braveheart Runners continued to inspire, proving the transformative power of endurance running. From scholarships in the USA to podium finishes across Asia and Europe, athletes like Dennis, Juliet, and Enock have achieved incredible milestones—both on and off the track.

Whether breaking records, pursuing careers, or chasing dreams, their journeys remind us of the strength and resilience of this community. To the Braveheart team: thank you for inspiring us. Here’s to the incredible legacy you have built and the bright futures ahead.

4. ANNE-LISE  TRIUMPHS WITH GRIT AND RESILENCE AT MIUT Madeira 2024

In an awe-inspiring display of perseverance, SCOTT athlete Anne-Lise Rousset clinched 2nd place at the prestigious MIUT Madeira ultra-trail in April 2024. Facing grueling conditions over 115 kilometers and a staggering 7100 meters of elevation gain, Anne-Lise battled unrelenting rain and plummeting temperatures to emerge victorious against the elements.

The cold proved a formidable adversary, forcing Anne-Lise to adapt her nutrition strategy on the fly, making it difficult to stick to her carefully laid-out race plan. Yet, her mental toughness and adaptability shone through as she pressed forward, defying the odds.

Reflecting on the race, Anne-Lise shared her deep connection to Madeira’s dramatic landscapes, recalling how she first fell in love with the island's breathtaking beauty during her visit in 2015. This year, Madeira greeted her with what she described as “hell in paradise,” but the reward at the finish line was well worth the battle.

Anne-Lise's achievement at MIUT Madeira underscores her incredible strength and determination. She not only earned a well-deserved spot on the podium but also reminded us all of the power of perseverance in the face of adversity.

Congratulations, Anne-Lise, on an unforgettable performance!

5. THE SCOTT COMMUNITY COME OUT IN FORCE

This year; we loved sharing a moment on the trails with so many of you at community run events across Europe. From sharing a coffee with you at Stubai Ultra Trail in Germany to sharing a laugh at "These Girls Can Run" events in the UK, we had a blast! Another highlight was the incredible turnout at the X Trails in Switzerland, where runners came together to celebrate the joy of the sport alongside us.

No matter where you joined us this year, your passion and energy continue to inspire us, and we can’t wait to make 2025 even bigger. With exciting plans in the works, there’s never been a better time to run with SCOTT. Watch this space—we’ve got something special coming your way in 2025!

6. 100 MILES WITH PARKINSON'S – A JOURNEY OF RESILIENCE

Alberto Estrada, one of our most inspiring ambassadors, continues to defy the odds. Despite living with Parkinson’s, he took on the 160 km 100 Miles Sierra de Bandoleros challenge earlier this year, conquering 6,500 meters of elevation. His incredible journey has already captured hearts, and a documentary about his story will be released next year.

Looking ahead, Alberto’s next goals are just as bold: running in Zegama and stepping into the UTMB arena...

7. Skyrunning Showdowns

This year’s Skyrunning World Series failed to disappoint once again, with SCOTT athletes making their mark on the global stage. Fred Tranchand finished 6th overall, bolstered by a victory at the Sagalassos Sky Race and a strong 5th place in the final at Marató dels Dements. Iris Pessey’s stellar season earned her 9th overall, including a 2nd place at the Penang Skyrace. At the iconic Trofeo Kima, our Italian athletes Mattia Gianora and Mattia Tanara showcased their skills with impressive 5th and 6th place finishes.

As we close out this year and look ahead to 2025, we couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved together and are even more excited for what’s next.
