Genius 710 reviewed by MountainBIKE

16 Oktober 2012

The Genius 710 was reviewed by MountainBIKE magazine / GER. Here is what the editiors wrote: "The new Scott Genius 710's chassis is a super-light weighing only 2363 gr. This carbon bike offers a stiff alloy link and with 150 mm travel, the bike is up for all kinds of mountain rides. While the old shock was a pull shock, the new Nude 2 works with one air valve - and still offers the user friendly LTD-TwinLoc system. (...)

Jump on this bike and you'll feel good - there has never been a Genius that comforts a rider like this new one. The seat tube angle is at 75° and centers the rider to guarantee a very efficient pedaling position. With the suspension set to descend mode (using the Twinloc suspension control remote) the rear triangle offers a neutral and efficient performance. When the suspension is set to the mid position, or "traction mode", the Genius accelerates very fast. (...)

When riding trails the Genius performs safely and very well balanced. It's very precise in turns and when it comes to tricky situations, it is very reliable thanks to the better traction from the 27.5" wheels. Thanks to its Fox 34 fork and its stiff chassis, it shreds even rough downhill terrain without compromising comfort.  Result: There is no doubt that Scott has brought the new Genius to a new level. Light like a Racer, this all mountain full suspension bike accelerates really fast, and its versatility is just amazing. But most points were given for its downhill performance: Thanks to the stiff chassis and its bigger wheels, the Genius provides a very confident feeling."
