It's Cape Epic time of the year again! Nino Schurter returning to the world's toughest mountain bike stage race requires a special bike perfectly equipped for this challenge. Keep your eyes peeled for all details below!
Stellenbosch, South Africa. The unatmed Cape Epic is considered the Tour de France of mountain bike racing. The race that measures all is marked red in the racing calendar of mountain biking's Greatest Of All Time, N1NO Schurter. But pay attention! The team has learned from the excitement of recent years, that this race can quickly go from drama to glory and from glory to drama. The rough conditions are demanding for everyone involved. That's what makes this unpredictable event a one-of-a-kind adventure.
Over the years, this race has established itself as a highlight in the SCOTT-SRAM calendar as a race that demands everything from riders and equipment and writes stories that are only worthy of a Cape Epic.
With an early start to the MTB World Cup season already in April, it is Nino Schurter who will once again take on the Cape Epic and seems to have a score to settle here! Riding as a team with his friend Sebastian Fini (Lapierre-Mavic Unity), both are teaming up under the colors of World Bicycle Relief for this year's edition of the untamed Cape Epic!
The hardest MTB stage race on earth requires a special bike. N1NO will be equipped with a special edition of the SCOTT Spark RC. This extraordinary bike features a unique design inspired by the South African national colors and a highly optimized setup for the rugged South African landscape, equipped with the all-new ROCKSHOX Flight Attendant suspension system, among some other spec highlights.
