Carbitex GearFlex™ Flax Plate uses 50% carbon fiber and 50% flax fiber. Carbitex has been able to make the most of flax’s inherent mechanical properties, creating composites parts with high stiffness, resistance to breakage, torsion, and compression, making it a perfect material for high-performance footwear applications. The bio-based composites maintain high-performance characteristics required in the performance footwear category, that have previously only been able to be achieved by traditional carbon composites. The plate is dynamically flexible, responding to you by increasing stiffness as you increase speed, and retaining flexibility when walking. By dynamically increasing stiffness as the plate is flexed, it gives you more power and efficiency when you need it, and ease of movement when you don’t. It’s like having a track spike and running shoe in one.

Utilizing a semi radial design to give maximum efficiency in forward motion while maintain multi direction traction elements to keep you feeling confident when the trail starts to twist and turn.
