The SCOTT RC Run Waterproof Pants match the requirements for mandatory waterproof equipment established by the Skyrunner World Series. The lightweight PERTEX® Shield fabric and fully taped seams will protect athletes from the elements without slowing them down. We made these pants breathable by design with strategically placed vent panels and side zippers.

Pertex® Shield
Pertex® Shield delivers lightweight and packable waterproof protection whilst remaining highly breathable. Designed for intense mountain pursuits where weight and breathability are key, Pertex® Shield fabrics allow you to move fast and stay comfortable. The versatile 2, 2.5 and 3-layer constructions combine lightweight face fabrics with waterproof, windproof and breathable membranes. A durable water repellent (DWR) finish applied to the face fabric sheds rain and snow, which helps to maintain breathability.
DRYOsphere
DRYOsphere is SCOTT proprietary non-porous hydrophilic waterproof, windproof and breathable membrane. This technology is protecting you against water and wind while enabling extra heat to escape keeping you dry and confortable in any condition. DRYOsphere is available in a 2L, 2,5L or 3L constructions.
PFC Free
Perfluorinated and polyfluorinated compounds, also known as PFCs, are a group of fluorinated substances that have long been used as durable water repellence for clothing in the outdoor industry are very bad for the environment because they are very stable, and do not easily break down in nature. Therefore, PFC free/ C0 DWR treatments have been developed. They are less durable but more sustainable.
